If you are looking for an early 1900s, stylish and top quality crafted light to grace your entry hall, landing or bedroom then look no further, because if ever there was a pendant that embodied the transition from Arts
Crafts to Art Nouveau, beauty and workmanship then this would be it. The design can only be by one of the greats of the Arts
Crafts era and it could not have been better executed. It is so good that it really does not need our 'words of encouragement', because you are either going to love it OR you are going to love it.
The pendant consisting of a patinated bronze (brass) frame with riveted joints and a spectacular cylindrical shade of uranium / vaseline glass. The glass is mold-formed with pronounced floral relief decoration (leaves, stems, flower petals) and emits a warm, diffused light. Under UV light, the shade reveals the characteristic fluorescent glow of uranium glass.
The frame is expertly handcrafted, composed of cut and openwork struts with decorative cloverleaf mounts at the top, a fine example of the restrained geometry of the Arts
Crafts movement combined with the organic accents of Jugendstil. The original patina has been preserved.
