This monumental and exceptional rare chandelier, attributed to Italian designer Carlo Nason, exemplifies the bold experimentation and refined modernism that defined Italian lighting design of the 1960s. Executed in brass and handblown glass, the fixture presents a dramatic fountain-like composition of cascading glass strands suspended from a sculptural brass armature.
The central stem supports six cylindrical brass rings, each meticulously fitted with an array of clear and opaline tubular glass elements. These strands are arranged at deliberately varied lengths, creating a dynamic, layered silhouette and a sense of movement that shifts with both natural and artificial light.
