C. OSLER SATIN GLASS PLAFONNIER LIGHT
A rare and exceptional example of an original F.
C. Osler satin glass plafonnier ceiling light, complete with its original heavy cast bronze ring, chains, and ceiling plate. The satin-finished glass bowl features a finely moulded fluted design that diffuses light softly and evenly — a hallmark of Osler’s renowned early 20th-century craftsmanship and enduring quality.
All fittings remain complete and original, with the bronze metalwork lightly cleaned only, preserving the beautiful aged patina and verdigris tones developed over time. This piece offers both visual weight and refined decorative presence, making it ideal for luxury interiors, period restoration projects, or as a statement piece within a country house setting.
Fitted with a three-way B22 bayonet bulb holder array, the plafonnier provides balanced and practical illumination while retaining complete period authenticity.
Shown alongside our life-size wooden figure (approx. 6ft tall) for scale reference.
Fully restored, rewired, tested and ready for installation.

When renovating our original reclaimed lighting all existing electrical parts are removed and renewed with modern electrical components.
All components used are CE certified and our lights are wired
tested in line with BSEN Standards.
As standard our lights come with 1m of our premium fabric three core cable to a colour of your choice unless stated otherwise in the product description.
Generally, ES or BS lamp holders are used unless otherwise stated and are fully compatible with main dimmers and modern LED filament bulbs.
Our lights can be wired to bespoke specifications, longer lengths, different cable types and compatibility with specialist dimming systems such as DALI can all be accommodated.
Lights supplied to U.S.A and Canada are installed using UL Certified cable and lamp holders. As standard we supply round black fabric cable and E26 holders. Please note that although we use UL certified components our original reclaimed lights do not come with UL certification.
Due to the antique nature of our original vintage lights, we cannot offer an official IP rating and cannot guarantee our lights for external use.
