About the Item
Offered here is a very rare, attractive and extremely well preserved set consisting of two wall sconces and one pendant chandelier in Murano glass, by famed Italian designer Gino Vistosi. The three pieces all show the style that made Vistosi a famous and appreciated designer worldwide, and his pieces so sought-after: the polychrome hanging discs in Murano glass.
In the case of the present pieces, these discs are made in white and clear glass, and almost completely hide the metal structure of the lamps, giving the impression to be floating in air rather than hung. The two sconces, especially, resemble a ladies' pendant earring with their well balanced geometric shape.
The chandelier counts thirty glass discs, while the two sconces have six each. All glass discs are original and preserved in excellent conditions. All three lamps have been inspected by a professional electrician to ensure their full and faultless working order.
The measurements in the listing refer to the chandelier, while the two appliqués measure 45cm in width, 35 in height, and have an overall thickness of approximately 6/7 centimeters.
