Made in Murano
A grandiose addition of soft hues and understated elegance to adorn any ceiling space. The chandelier comes in two different sizes. The long version ideal to be hung over a table and the short version as a centerpiece in any ceiling space.
A love story between the rich history of Murano glassmaking and Danish regal heritage, the Rosenborg chandelier seamlessly blends tradition with subtle modernity in the truest ethos of Akua.
One of the earliest Murano chandeliers made was commissioned for Frederick IV of Denmark, adorning his former palace, Rosenborg, in Copenhagen to this day – a favoured place and source of inspiration to Annika.
Reimagining the classic Murano chandeliers of the 1800’s, the Rosenborg forsakes elaborate floral motifs for a contemporary silhouette and graceful swirls. Opaline glass, accented with amber hues, giving the chandelier a soft, ethereal glow and fusing the Venetian charm and sleek sophistication that reflects Akua's commitment to timeless elegance.
Crafted with artisanal precision, the Rosenborg chandelier is meticulously handcrafted on the island of Murano. Guided by the expertise of the grand master and skilled artisans, each component is shaped and mouth-blown to completion. Subtle imperfections, such as air bubbles and irregularities, imbue the chandelier with a sense of authenticity and charm.
