About the Item
Pendant Lamp Model U336, a beautiful example of Nordic / Scandinavian Modernism. Renowned danish architect and designer Jorn Utzon, designed this beautiful ceiling pendant for Artek Finland in 1957.
At the same time he was deeply involved with the design of the Sydney Opera House, his best-known project.
The particular U336 is the rare original early version manufactured by Artek in Finland. Shade impressed with manufacturer's mark Valaistustyo U 3 3 6, specific of the first years of production. Original finish, it is in a great original state with some very light users marks.
Highly sought after collectable piece. A similar light has been sold by Phillips, UK for 4375 £
Comes with one light socket for E26/E27 bulbs and works with 110V and 220V.
