A Signed Jean Noverdy Glass Plafonnier, c1925
Suspended on ormolu metal mounts the marmoreal mottled glass shade glass shade bears an etched signature NOVERDY
The Nouvelle Verrerie De Dijon manufactured light shades and vases in the style of Muller Freres, Delatte and Daum. The proprietors Jean and Rene Drouhot were evidently influenced by the Ecole De Nancy despite being located in Dijon. "Jean Noverdy" is brand name for their output.
This has been rewired and PAT tested by Wilkinsons, Royal warrant holders. The metalwork has been regilded.
