Scenographic Italian vintage chandelier; the sturdy structure that supports the spheres is perfectly made of solid brass brushed and polished; the wise arrangement and proportion of the spheres allow excellent and uniform lighting of the environment; with its basic and geometric style, essential and harmonious gives a unique atmosphere in the house, creating particularity and originality, balance and elegance; a luminous element characterized by a timeless design, in which history and innovation blend. The chandelier was made in Milan (Italy) between 1960 and 1962 and we can safely attribute it to the company Stilnovo. Founded in Milan by Bruno Gatta, in 1946, Stilnovo was for years the most important reality in the world of lighting equipment design. It was a laboratory and a hotbed of ideas during the post-war reconstruction and the following economic boom; the most prestigious names in Italian design have collaborated with Stilnovo, such as Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Joe Colombo, Danilo and Corrado Aroldi, Roberto Beretta, Antonio Macchi Cassia, De Pas D’Urbino Lomazzi Studio, Ettore Sottsass, Cini Boeri and Gae Aulenti who designed memorable pieces for this small Milanese company. What characterizes Stilnovo, in the '50s, is the production and marketing of lamps with particular and innovative shapes. At that time the objects were designed by the Centro Stile Interno, they became unique pieces, true symbols of the elegance of the 50s and 60s; in fact, they left an indelible mark in the design and fashion sector. The chandelier has been treated with ancient manual restoration techniques by our team of craftsmen and is in excellent condition. The electrical system has been made new, but the wiring is European, so the compatibility of voltage in other states must always be checked by an electrician before use. Measurements diameter cm.60, height cm.112, sphere diameter cm.18. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
