About the Item
A stunning large handmade vintage Murano glass chandelier featuring six gracefully curved and decorated light arms and a centure piece beautifully adorned with 18 exquisite hand made floral decorations. The entire piece is bathed in an amazing fume color, a smoky translucent hue that gives it a truly ethereal presence. This is truly one of the finest Murano glass lamps we have ever encountered, a magnificent example of the glassblower's art.
The lamp carries its original label, MU 1/6 Fume, as well as the Stockmann label, which was the most prestigious department store in Finland throughout most of the last century. This provenance underscores its quality and desirability. The chandelier is in very good original condition, a beautiful and functional piece of art.
In terms of updates, the copper wire supporting the bottom decorative element has been replaced, and the cylindrical covers for the electrical components have been updated to meet modern standards for safety and performance. All other parts are original, preserving the integrity of this magnificent floral Murano glass chandelier.
