About the Item

A simple elegant chandelier with a teak frame and five white opaque glass shades, very much in the style of Uno Östen Kristiansson of Sweden but no mark or label. The chandelier is in nice vintage condition with minor signs of wear in line age and use, including scratches / minor nicks to the wood and glass. The wiring has been replaced to meet UK standards, and the original notched ceiling canopy is in place. The glass shades are supported by metal spring fittings which screw to the outside of the bulb holder; these can be removed to assist with changing of the light bulb. New bulb-holders in the same style as the original take small-fitting screw-in bulbs. Approximate dimensions: Overall height as shown in the main image: 120cm Radius from centre stem to outside of glass shade: 23cm (diameter ~46cm) Each shade is 23cm high both wood and glass; 18cm glass only; shade diameter 12.5cm Height from top of canopy to bottom of frame: 74cm The chandelier will be dismantled for shipping.
