About the Item
The idea of a Circus Trapeze Artist inspires the Trapezi contemporary chandelier.
Hand-blown glass in a variety of forms and shades is combined with brass bars and hung by Linen Cords from hub units on the ceiling.
The glass is clear or hand-painted "A Lustro," an ancient technique that mixes the colors with precious metal particles;
This process gives a particularly bright appearance.
The arrangement of the lights is entirely flexible, and the hanging cables have a clear aesthetic function within the overall composition.
Its loose, modular nature makes it a highly configurable piece based on the needs of the project.
This lamp has one LED for each element. The light emanates from the brass rod, crossing over the hand-blown glass, and is diffused softly through it.
The direction of each light can be adjusted separately.
The brass is brushed with a wax coating to slow down the natural oxidation process, thus creating an alluring finish that ages gracefully over time.
The finish is meticulously handcrafted, beginning with a bath in pure silver.
It is then gently satinized and hand-oxidized to achieve the light final patina.
Finally, a light layer of transparent varnish is applied with a brush to seal the finish.
