About the Item
A stunning Italian hand-painted hard-wired ceramic and iron 6-arm chandelier. This piece was sourced from the estate of a Kansas oilman. We assume this piece was imported directly from Italy judging by the rest of the home! The top of the chandelier has a metal "Made in Italy" tag. The center of the chandelier is ceramic affixed around an iron inner core. The ceramic around is a creamy white, with hand-painted stylized designs in red, orange blue, and green. Each arm of the chandelier is in black iron, and in a curved swirl shape. Affixed to the top of each swirl is a round ceramic ball which is also hand-painted in complimentary colors and patterns. The top of each is a candlestick-like structure where the chandelier bulbs are inserted. This is a fabulous piece that will fit wonderfully in a Tuscan-style home or even an organic modern home.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Fabulous vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. The iron shows patina and oxidization throughout but could be painted to bring it back to its original luster. The ceramic looks to have a blue wash over it in some places.

Italian porcelain hand painted traditional urn shape lamp by Capo Di Monte. Urn shape in form, the top is accented with two handles with swirls highly decorated in light pink, gold and yellow. The lamp widens at the bottom of the handles and tapers down to a wider body.
The body of this decorative lamp features scenes of robed figures of men and women at a Bacchanalian feast. Decoration includes scenes of women draped in various color robes such as pink green and yellow. Bacchus is depicted as surrounded by women and sports a dark beard and floral crown. The top includes piercing throughout.
The bottom of the porcelain portion of the lamp is decorated in a pink rope pattern around the edges. Just above, figures of light mint green leaves or petals are painted with gold hand painted edges.
The base of the lamp is made up of a gold or brass metal with an ornate floral pattern. Inside appears to be iron or steel. The shape of the metal base is square in form with a pinched design at each side. Original harp included, however no shade.
