About the Item
A pair of very elegant, stunningly beautiful floral pendant lamps made of capiz shells.
The lampshades are handcrafted in the Philippines in the 1960s from brass and capiz shells. Each shade has a label.
Capiz shells are the shells of the Placuna placenta species, which are found primarily in the Philippines. They are known for their translucent, parchment-like texture and are traditionally used for making items such as lampshades.
Assembled in Germany in the 1960s.
Beautiful design. Very high-quality craftsmanship.
Pleasant light with an original E27 socket each.
Both lamps still have their original brass canopies.
No damage to the entire lamps. All petals are firmly attached and complete.
Suitable for any living area and very decorative.
100% original condition and fully functional.

This intricately designed pendant lamp was lovingly handcrafted, making each piece truly unique. Each capiz shell was lovingly shaped by hand, and the lamp was then put together by hand using brass solder, reminiscent of Tiffany style. The light it gives off is truly one-of-a-kind, with a soft golden glow that makes any room feel warm and cozy. We've replaced the cable and lamp socket with new components, and we can also, upon request, artificially age these components to give them a lovely, light patina. I absolutely love this lamp!
