About the Item
Extremely large Bauhaus pendant chandelier designed by Franta Anýž and manufactured by IAS, circa 1930.
This rare piece features a fully nickel-plated steel construction with clean Bauhaus geometric lines and an impressive commanding scale suitable for grand interiors.
The chandelier remains in very good original condition, showing only minimal paint loss on the inner shade ring and retaining its authentic period character.
It has been professionally re-electrified with two independent circuits (4 + 3 bulbs) using E26/E27 sockets, allowing flexible light output up to 7 × 60W. US wiring compatible.
A museum-quality example of early Czech functionalism, combining sculptural presence with refined industrial detailing.
