This magnificent colorful Ca 'Rezzonico Murano glass chandelier after Giuseppe Briati was made in Italy in the 1960s. The very richly decorated Ca'Rezzonico Murano chandelier has a total of 20 arms and is divided into 6 levels which are made of colored, mouthblown Murano glass. On the first level, the chandelier is surrounded by 12 large circular arms. On the second level, there are four glass cups in addition to numerous colored leaves and flowers. Also, each cup contains two more small arms. Each cup of the second, third, fifth, and sixth level is circularly decorated with flowers and leaves. Overall, the chandelier is decorated with almost 150 flowers and leaves. Giuseppe Briati was a famous Venetian glassmaker of the 18th century, who specialized in the creation of the typical Murano chandelier prototype with several arms decorated with garlands, flowers, and leaves. He created today's Rezzonico chandelier, whose name is derived from the first chandelier of this type, which represents the Classic Murano chandelier. He was designed by Briati for the noble Venetian family Rezzonico and hung in their palace on the Grand Canal. It is today's "Ca 'Rezzonico" museum in Murano. Provenance: South German aristocratic private property. Until today there is a chandelier made by Giuseppe Briati hanging in the Brustolon room of the Ca'Rezzonico Palais in Murano, which is very similar to the luster shown here in shape, color, and structure. (last image) Measurements: H 160 cm, DM 120 cm H 63", DM 47 ¼" The chandelier would make an eye-catching addition to any of your interior pieces and could complement your living room, family room, screening room or even the office. The chandelier is in good condition, it was cleaned and rewired. A few flowers and leaves were replaced. It is operating with a European Plug (250 V) and has E14 as size for the light bulbs.
