Price is Per Light Rarely seen large 12" diameter version of this iconic three part design by Holophane. Each glass piece is marked with Holophane makers marks, ensuring authenticity. The original oxi-copper brass gallery shines with quality craftsmanship and has wonderful aging and is stamped "Holophane 6". Overall the light fitting is a real statement piece of large proportions and emitting the trademark Holophane charming glow. Adjustable drop height to suit various settings and comes with 2 meters of our premium black fabric twisted cable as standard. Holophane's "Reflector - Refractors" were developed following the commission of the company to provide the illumination of St Pauls Cathedral, London in 1923 requiring greater glare and brightness. As seen in our 1937 catalogue snippet the Holophane Reflector - Refractors form totally enclosed prismatic glassware, originally designed for lighting Public Buildings, School, Offices and Shop interiors. WHY IS VINTAGE HOLOPHANE SO POPULAR IN INTERIOR DESIGN In addition to its practical qualities, vintage Holophane glass is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts of vintage and industrial design. The prismatic texture of the glass creates a unique visual effect that is both beautiful and functional, making it a popular choice for use in home decor and lighting fixtures. The vintage Holophane glass is often paired with high-quality metal fixtures, such as brass or cast iron, to create a look that is both elegant and industrial in style. Technical Details Bulb Type E27 Maximum Wattage 100W Height 330 mm Width 350 mm Colour Prismatic Glass, Polished Brass Weight 5 kg When renovating our original reclaimed lighting all existing electrical parts are removed and renewed with modern electrical components. All components used are CE certified and our lights are wired tested in line with BSEN Standards. As standard our lights come with 1m of our premium fabric three core cable to a colour of your choice unless stated otherwise in the product description. Generally, ES or BS lamp holders are used unless otherwise stated and are fully compatible with main dimmers and modern LED filament bulbs. Our lights can be wired to bespoke specifications, longer lengths, different cable types and compatibility with specialist dimming systems such as DALI can all be accommodated. Lights supplied to U.S.A and Canada are installed using UL Certified cable and lamp holders. As standard we supply round black fabric cable and E26 holders. Please note that although we use UL certified components our original reclaimed lights do not come with UL certification. Due to the antique nature of our original vintage lights, we cannot offer an official IP rating and cannot guarantee our lights for external use.
