About the Item
Italian Modernist planetary Saturn-form pendant after Gio Ponti and Pietro Chiesa for S. A. Luigi Fontana
Co. (ca. 1930s). Composed of a pale blue glass central globe pierced by a metal arrow with etched glass disc displaying concentric rings, all supported by a metal ring orbit suspended from a chromed-metal canopy-topped stem.
Glass is clean; unpolished metal and chrome plate show oxidation and natural patina (presented in original condition - much of the wear to the metal can be eradicated with polishing and fully with re-plating).
