Custom Design a one-of-a-kind STACKED Multi-Bulb Illuminated Sculpture. While this example boasts 5 led light bulbs and is made of salvaged Cherry with a natural finish, we can tailor our STACKED pieces for your space. Do you desire a different wood species? More light bulbs? Or, less? Do you have a large room with tall ceilings? Or smaller and lower? We will work together to design a form that is perfect for you or your clients space. Whether on, or off, the finished piece will be a one-of-a-kind illuminated STACKED Sculpture hanging grandly in your room. The beauty of Richard’s signature STACKED style is based entirely in the process. Each STACKED object he creates is built, sculpted, and finished entirely by hand. To the confusion of many, there is no lathe work involved for any of his pieces. Imagine an analog version of 3-D printing, or coil pottery. The desired profile is defined during the building process. Piece by individual piece, layer upon layer, he additively sculpts each form, controlling both the wall thickness as well as the profile. Once constructed, Richard refines the exterior using a variety of hand held tools, resulting in a finely honed quality with subtle undulations very similar to that of hand built ceramics. This organic illuminated sculpture is suspended from a 6inch dia black canopy plate, by 1/16” black aircraft cable, along with a black fabric covered cord, and is fully adjustable within the provided length of cable. Lighting Elements - (3x) Porcelain III + (2x) Porcelain I led lightbulbs by TALA *It is advised and necessary to hire a licensed electrician for installation. **Pricing is based on a similar design. Created in collaboration with Theodora Alfredsdottir. “Corrugation” is a collection of lights inspired by Midcentury Furniture making, honouring the technique of veneer forming. It consists of a scalable hanging light and wall sconces, which can serve as building blocks to create unique combinations playfully spanning across whole rooms.
