Exquisite 19th-century French bronze floor lamp, attributed to the renowned Ferdinand Barbedienne and likely designed by Henry Cahieux specifically for the iconic 1855 Paris Exposition Universelle. This floor lamp features a magnificent cast bronze body, in the neoclassical style typical of Barbedienne's finest mid-19th-century works. The ebonized wood base adds elegance and contrast to the bronze's golden patina. The quality of the casting, detailing, and proportions attest to the collaboration between Barbedienne and his chief designer, Cahieux. Now electrified, this piece combines historical value and functionality, suitable for both classical and eclectic interiors.
