Hubbard Manufacturing Co., Meriden, Connecticut, circa 1915–1925
An elegant Art Nouveau adjustable floor lamp, attributed to Bradley
Hubbard, featuring a cast metal base and fluted column with stylized foliate and geometric motifs in bronze and polychrome finish. The articulated bridge arm displays an openwork heart and fan design topped with a flared finial, characteristic of the firm’s refined casting and balanced proportions.
The lamp supports an asymmetric custom fabric and lace shade, trimmed with braided gimp and long ombré silk fringe that softly transitions from pale ivory to deeper champagne tones. The coordinating ombré tassel pull echoes this subtle gradient, completing the lamp’s period charm.
