Axolight Float Floor Lamp in White Aluminum and Steel by Mario Alessiani
From the ingenuity of Axolight and the creativity of the designer Mario Alessiani, Float was born, a multifunctional and portable lamp, usable both outdoors and indoors, designed for different uses: table, floor, suspension, wall.
“The idea of Float comes from a romantic inspiration, linked to the image of a candle lit on an old empty bottle placed on a restaurant table. A symbol of simplicity, strong and poetic, which brings us back to the world of restaurants and wineries.”

Design as the right mix between producibility and fuction, with an eye on shape. The functional beauty is the main core of Mario Alessiani design, where the attention is not focused on shaping but on HOW TO SHAPE, in order to have the most efficiency in production fase and the object has the will to comunicate with its aspects, communicating people how they are done in the most honest way. Raised by two architects in the centre of Italy, Mario has always been attracted by its Tolomeo lamp by Richard Sapper in his father studio. This passion become its job after graduating at IED Rome and work experiences in London. In 2013 at 24yo he opens his own design firm. After gone international he as been selected among the best under 30 italian creatives by Virginio Briatore and Design People at Triennale Milano.
