About the Item
Standing 170cm tall, the 'Salsa' bronze sculptural floor lamp is a one of a kind piece expressing rhythm and movement. The lamp is hand crafted and cast in bronze, featuring nine dancers captured mid-motion. Each figure was originally sculpted from pieces of tree twigs and bark, individually molded and cast in bronze in the lost wax process, then welded to form expressive figures . The vertical bronze rod supports three pairs of dancers, while three additional figures anchor the solid bronze base. All figures are welded to the rod and base and finished with a rich hand applied patina.
The hand crafted lampshade in fibreglass and resin is available, as well as a standard lampshade hand made in satin with gold lining as shown in the 2nd image. Both lampshades are offered at extra cost.
The floor lamp is wired for the UK and Europe and features a foot switch for ease of use. Lamps dimensions 170cmH x 33cmW (excluding lampshade)
