About the Item
This floor lamp is a prototype, every element of which is hand made by our own master artisans in our studio to the highest standards of a bygone era.
Inspired by 1950s French and Italian design, you will note the influences of Jacques Adnet and Angelo Lelii.
Standing lamp consisting of hand stitched leather wrapped brass bamboo form upright on a round base of polished onyx within a ring of 24 karat gold plated brass.
Gilt brass cantilevered arm with leather straps for adjusting the angle of the arm which terminates in a swiveling hand enameled spun and sculpted aluminium shade.
The on/off and dimmer is controlled by the knob on the slim vertical gilt brass stem.
On the underside of the onyx base are four gilt brass feet which are adjustable for leveling with the included handmade wrench.
Even the three prong plug is hand made of 24-karat gold plated solid brass. Takes a single standard Edison screw light bulb up to 100 watts.
24-karat gold-plated brass will not tarnish. The leather will develop natural patina.
