About the Item
This floor lamp, known as the "Globe" model, was created in the late 1950s by Frank Ligtelijn—a distinguished jewelry designer—for the Dutch lighting company Raak. The design quickly gained popularity and stayed in production for many years. Its most recognizable feature, the glass globe, became a defining element and was used across a range of Raak lighting products, including table lamps, pendants, chandeliers, and wall lights. The globes were produced in three color variants: grey violet, smoked brown, and clear natural glass. This particular lamp is fitted with the smoked brown version, elegantly mounted on a chrome-plated base. The globe can be easily adjusted to direct light in multiple directions, making it a practical as well as stylish lighting solution. The glass globe is free of chips or cracks, and the lamp is in original, well-preserved vintage condition.
The light requires one E27 (E26) light bulb. Works with European and US electrics (110/120/230V).
