A rare and exceptional pair of large ceramic floor lamps, attributed to Kaiser Leuchten, Germany, 1970s.
The sculptural bases are composed of four graduated globes cast as a single piece, finished in a luminous iridescent sea-blue/green glaze with organic, wave-like drips that give every angle a unique character. The surface variation and color depth give each lamp a uniquely artistic character.
Completed with tall, conical lampshades in a loosely woven white cotton, this pair offers an elegant interplay of texture and form and airy contrast to the richly glazed bases.
