Large Mid Century Italian Arco / Arc Chrome Marble Floor Lamp Vintage Arco Floor Lamp Attributed to Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos, Italy, 1960s 8ft An iconic mid-century modern design, this Arco floor lamp attributed to Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos (Italy, 1962) remains one of the most celebrated examples of Italian lighting. Inspired by the need for overhead lighting without ceiling suspension, this sculptural piece features a sweeping stainless steel arch extending from a solid Carrara marble base, paired with a polished chrome dome-shaped shade. Rare round base. Elegant and functional adjustable , the lamp provides dramatic reach and warm, focused illumination, ideal for reading areas, lounge spaces, or anchoring a minimalist interior. Measurements (adjustable based on base placement): Overall length: 67 to 79 inches Marble base diameter: 11.75 inches Shade diameter: approximately 12 inches Standard positioning: adjustable Floor to top of arch: 79 inches Floor to bottom of shade: 52.5 inches At full extension: adjustable to Floor to top of arch: 103 inches Floor to bottom of shade: 75 inches This piece is in excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. A timeless statement in form and function, and a masterwork of Italian modernist design.. One dimple on shade.
