About the Item

The Imbuto Lamp by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena stands out for its unique and minimalist design, featuring a refined steel stem that lends a touch of sophistication and luxury. Made with fine materials and impeccable workmanship, this lamp is designed to last, adding a touch of style and functionality to any room. The name of this lamp also explains very clearly the inspiration from which the shape was born: a funnel. However, in this object of the funnel only the name remains. The lampshade is a metal cone that extends toward each other thanks to a thin stem from which a wide halo of light comes out. Luigi Caccia Dominioni is one of the leading Italian architects and urban planners after World War II and one of the forerunners and founders of Italian design, a brilliant interpreter of the Milanese and Lombard tradition. He began his professional career immediately after graduating from the Milan Polytechnic in 1936 with the opening of a studio in Porta Nuova together with his brothers Livio and Piergiacomo Castiglioni, devoting himself to interior architecture, design, industrial planning, competitions and installations. In particular, his activity in the field of industrial design saw him "pioneer" at the 7th Milan Triennale with a series of radio sets designed with the brothers In 1947, together with Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi Dell'Acqua, he founded the Italian brand Azucena, which has always stood out for its collections that combine formal elegance, luxury, pure, crisp aesthetics, and very high craftsmanship.
