Floor lamp maison jansen in gilded brass and marble, 1970s. Large leaf floor lamp in gilded brass from the jansen house on foot / marble and brass foot. Rare model decorated with beautiful leaves (similar to the palm model).
Good condition, electricity ok with a floor switch.
Biography of the maison jansen in paris: Maison jansen is an interior house in paris. It was founded in 1880 by the Dutchman Jean-Henri Jansen. Jansen is considered to be the first global design firm to turn a name into a brand, offering its services in Europe, Latin America, North America and the Middle East. In the early 1940s, Maison Jansen set up his own workshops in the 17,000 m2 rue Saint Sabin in Paris. Throughout its history, the company has followed the traditional European drawing style, as well as European trends in this area, including the Vienna secession, modernism and art deco, which were developed by the company between 1920 and 1950. jansen house worked for the royal families of belgium, iran and serbia as well as for the white house under the administration of john f. Kennedy. Jansen's house decorated the yacht chambel IV, now known as Noordwind II. Jansen mainly worked for h.m. Elizabeth II, sm. Edward VII, sm. Edward VIII (who became Duke of Windsor after his abdication) and his wife Wallis Simpson, l.l.m.m of Spain Alfonso XII and Alfonso Xiii, The Court of Holland, The Palace of Cloth, Lady Baillie, Persepolis, Qatar, The Royal Palace of Belgrade, coco chan.
