About the Item

A striking example of American Brutalist design, this floor lamp features an integrated glass-topped side table. Designed by renowned sculptor and industrial designer Richard Barr as part of his "Studio Collection" for the Laurel Lamp Company (circa 1965), the piece showcases his signature heavy, torch-cut, and welded metalwork. Torch-cut patinated steel/iron, circular tempered glass top, and original metal stem. Abstract sculptural base with jagged, organic geometry and a floating glass surface, making it both a functional side table and a piece of lighting art.
