Only six of these striking uplighters were ever produced—making them a true collector’s item. The lamps are manufactured and designed by Targetti in the 1970s The lamps measure a stunning height of 200 cm. These monumental pieces feature a bold cylindrical form in polished stainless steel, exuding the sleek sophistication of Italian modernism. Each lamp is fitted with a coiled power cable and designed as an uplighter, casting a warm, ambient glow that enhances architectural spaces with effortless drama and style. The lamps are in excellent vintage condition with light signs of wear consistent with the age and use. “A Light Born in Florence” – The Story of Targetti In 1928, in the heart of Florence — a city already glowing with centuries of art and beauty — a small workshop opened its doors. Inside, a young craftsman named Targetti sold lamps and electrical goods, unaware that he was lighting the first spark of what would become one of Italy’s most respected names in architectural illumination. As the world around Florence changed, so did the workshop. By 1937, it was no longer just a shop — it was a place where light itself was shaped. Chandeliers, wall lamps, and table lights began to flow from the hands of artisans who treated metal and glass with the same reverence that Renaissance sculptors gave to marble. Then came 1959. Florence was growing, and so was Targetti. The company built a new industrial complex on the city’s outskirts — a modern home for a brand that refused to forget its roots. From there, a new era began: one driven not only by beauty but also by technical innovation. In the 1970s, when design met technology, Targetti stood at the crossroads. The company created Bitrack, a revolutionary lighting system that gave architects and designers new freedom — light could finally move, change, and adapt. Then came Structura, a self-supporting system that let spaces be defined by light itself. Targetti was no longer just making lamps; it was inventing ways to express architecture through light. For decades, the company’s quiet glow spread beyond Italy — to museums, monuments, and modern buildings across the world. In the 1990s, its designs won international awards like the Compasso d’Oro, confirming what architects already knew: Targetti’s light was not just functional — it was art.
