Pair Antique Baroque Revival Silvered Wood Floor Lamps Late 18th Century Continental, Late 18th Century Lamps: Height 116cm, width 28cm, depth 25cm Shades: Height 42cm, diameter 50cm A superb pair of Baroque-revival floor lamps, these pieces capture the opulence and artistry found in European decorative traditions. Generously silvered and masterfully carved, the bases combine flowing acanthus foliage, putti heads, and dramatic curves - motifs that evoke the theatrical spirit of Baroque design. Originally fashioned in the 18th century as torcheres, they were later adapted into functioning lamps, allowing their sculptural qualities to be showcased in a more contemporary domestic setting.
