About the Item

Elegant, timeless and rare pair of French Midcentury Modern Neoclassical Brass Faux Bamboo Floor Lamps in the stytle Jacques Adnet. The lamps are exceptionally large, dramatic and innovative. They use semi-abstract forms such as concentric circular rings to create the effect of faux bamboo. They possess a refined, brass tripod base ending in ball finials which completes the pieces in an exquisite manner. Overall, the lamps are 71.5" high; the diameter of the base is 17.5" and the shades shown are 20" in diameter and 14.5" in height. Shades are for demonstration only. Jacques Adnet was one of the m, ost important artist/ designer / creators in France from early 1930's through the entire 1950's. His work encompassed the French Art Deco movement, Modern Neoclassicism and Modernism. His legacy is broad and deep and his pieces are much sought after.
