About the Item

Maison Lecan presents this exceptional pair of Sticklight lamps by Michael Young, a true icon of British design from the 1990s. Crafted in blown polyethylene, each Sticklight reveals a long luminous shaft crowned with a diffusive sphere — a beautiful balance between verticality and gentle light. The subtly yellowed patina of the plastic, shaped by time, tells a story and adds an authentic and warm dimension. Designed to stand freely but also adaptable to elegant suspension — for instance with a metal sling inserted from the inside — they become powerful tools for structuring space visually and luminously. Inspired by the sculptural lighting works of Jean-Pierre Garrault, they embody an approach to lighting as an artistic object. Dimensions: H 190 cm × Ø sphere 30 cm
