About the Item

Striking sculptural floor lamp by Poliarte composed of a tall, monolithic tower of handcrafted cast-glass modules arranged in a rhythmic grid. Each glass cube is characterized by Poliarte’s distinctive textured surface, rich with tiny air inclusions, crystalline irregularities, and softly frosted planes that create a captivating depth and luminosity. When illuminated, the lamp comes alive with a warm, diffused glow, the light shifting through the stacked geometric forms like a glowing architectural column. The repetition of recessed square cavities produces a hypnotic pattern of light and shadow, giving the piece both minimalism and sculptural presence. Both functional and artistic, this lamp embodies Poliarte’s signature approach to light as a material—an exploration of transparency, density, and structure. A remarkable statement piece for collectors and interiors seeking bold Italian design. Poliarte, founded in Verona in 1968 by Albano Poli, is renowned for its sculptural and highly experimental approach to lighting design. Specializing in hand-cast glass, the company explored texture, transparency, and geometric modularity to create luminous objects that blur the line between art and architecture. Poliarte’s works often feature stacked cubes, prisms, or slabs of thick glass that transform light into a tactile material. Revered by collectors, the brand remains an icon of Italian 1970s design and glass innovation.
