Louis Kalff 1950s floor lamp produced by Philips Eindhoven, The Netherlands.The hint of an exotic African motif and topped with an opaline glass shade head' surrounded by a black hood. Louis Kalff NX 109 Floor Lamp Materials: Black cast iron tripod base, painted with wrinkle paint. Black painted rod with brass decorations. Round white opal glass diffuser. Round black painted aluminium lampshade, also painted with wrinkle paint. Bakelite sockets. Height: 157 cm / 61.81” Width: ∅ 41 cm / 16.14” Electricity: 4 bulbs E27, 4 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt. Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred. Period: 1950s, 1960s – Mid-Century Modern. Designer: Louis Christiaan Kalff. Manufacturer: Koninklijke Philips N.V., Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Other versions: This Louis Kalff NX 109 floor lamp exists in a few variations. In the catalogue from 1964 it appears in the version with a white rod and whiteout the brass decoration.
