About the Item

Carlo Nason, born into one of Murano's oldest glass families, developed a unique approach to lighting design, shaped by both tradition and innovation. Known for his experiments with form and light, Nason collaborated with AV Mazzega to create distinctive, forward-thinking pieces. Based in Murano, AV Mazzega is renowned for its high-quality glasswork and longstanding dedication to Italian craftsmanship. Together, they produced numerous designs, such as the LT 316 floor lamp, which showcases Nason's refined aesthetic and Mazzega's expertise in glass. Design The LT 316 floor lamp is made of white-tinted glass and consists of five stacked cylindrical sections. Inside, E14 sockets are placed along the height, with a larger E27 socket at the top. This arrangement allows the lamp to emit a soft, even glow, with each glass element subtly diffusing the light. The cylindrical sections are carefully assembled to create a balanced, cohesive structure. The lamp's design emphasizes clean lines and an uninterrupted light stream, making it both attractive and eye-catching. With its timeless design and high-quality materials, the LT 316 reflects Nason's focus on pure aesthetics and the craftsmanship of AV Mazzega. One cylinder has some chips on the inside (see the photo); the other cylinders are completely intact. The base plate also shows signs of wear but is still in good condition.
