About the Item
Floor lamp was produced by the German lighting manufacturer Cosack Leuchten in the 1970s. It captures the fun, experimental spirit of the Space Age and Pop Art era with its bold use of color and materials.
The lamp features a solid, clear acrylic (plexiglass) stem that gives the fixture a light, airy appearance. This transparent column connects a heavy circular base to an adjustable spotlight shade, both finished in a vibrant turquoise (teal) lacquer. The shade is held by a U-shaped chrome yoke, allowing it to swivel and tilt to direct light for reading or accenting a wall.
Condition Report: The lamp is in good vintage condition. Note: There is a dent present on the metal shade. However, the paint finish remains intact over this area (no paint loss), and the structural integrity is unaffected. The acrylic stem is clear with minor signs of age.
