About the Item
This rare vintage P436 Stalagmite floor lamp was designed by Pat Hoffman for Luci Illuminazione d’Interni in the late 1960s, a striking example of Italian modern lighting design. Its bold, vertical form showcases a tubular steel column in a polished chrome finish, lined with a series of spherical white glass bulbs that recall the organic silhouette of a stalagmite.
The lamp’s minimalist yet dramatic silhouette makes it equally suited for a mid-century modern, contemporary, or eclectic interior. Both functional and artistic, it provides ambient illumination while serving as a statement piece.
Professionally restored and rewired for safety, it remains in excellent condition, preserving its original design integrity. A collectible piece that embodies the innovative spirit and craftsmanship of Italian lighting from the era.
The lamp has been completely restored and rewired, but keep in mind that this was done according to European norms. To make it fit for an American project, the wiring and plug should be redone.
