About the Item
Wrought iron Sunburst style flush mount by Ferro Art (also known as Ferroarte), Spain, 1950s. Handmade wrought iron structure using metalwork techniques such as hammered, welded and hand-crafted, with a gold hand-paint finish. Molded glass diffuser attached to the structure with 3 brass nuts.
It can be used as a wall light or sconce too.
Mid-Century and Starburst style ceiling light. Very much in the style also of Maison Jansen and Maison Charles French creations, of Ferrocolor’s Spanish creations, and the brutalist Italian creations of Longobard. Very vintage and Mid-Century Modern fixture, with a certaing Gothic Revival, Tudor and Brutalist air.
For one E27 bulb each piece (compatible with E26 USA bulbs). Electrical installation renewed and fully operational. LED compatible. Slight signs of wear and tear from the passage of time. Little manufacturing defects on the glass diffusers (see last photos).
Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. That is why sometimes certain elements can present wear and tear, but they are part of the life of each piece, always providing a very pleasant patina.
