About the Item

1 of the 2 beautiful bubble glass wall lights or flush mounts, designed by Helena Tynell, 1970. The rich textured glass gives a wonderful glow. The square glass is mounted on a silver colored metal back plate. Cleaned, well-wired and ready to use Each light requires one single E14 standard bulb. Please note the price is for one piece. Dimensions: Height: 11.81" (30 cm) Width: 11.81" (30 cm) Depth: 3.94" (10 cm) Helena Tynell is a finish glass and ceramics designer. She was a student at the school of the arts in Helsinki, circa 1943-1946. She was one of the most influential designers in the finish glass company Riihimäki Lasi. Her work has been exhibited from 1954-1960, m (12 editions) at the Triennale in Milan, Zurich, Amsterdam and London. She has worked as a freelance designer for Flygsfors glassworks, BEGA Leuchten, Glashütte Limburg and Fostoria glass.
