About the Item

Monumental richly decorated extra large (35 in) hand hammered gold gilt iron sunburst light fixture. Spain, 1940s. It has double set of leaves in two sizes around a corolla with small leaves surrounding a central frosted glass light diffuser. The handcut and hand-hammered iron leaves have a detailed work and gold leaf gilding with red and greenish accents. The nice aged patina is terrific. It has a design combining Brutalist and Hollywood Regency accents. It can be installed as flush mount, wall light but also as a pendant hanging on a chain at the desired height. This oustanding sunburst would be impressive placed as ceiling light in a foyer or any other room. Place it on a dark background to highlight its beauty. Rare find.
