About the Item
A German glass and nickel light fixture with nice patina designed by Peter Behrens, manufactured circa 1910.
The lamp shade is made of two glasses: an opaline white glass at the top and satinated glass at the bottom. Both glasses are held together with a nickeled ring. The glass is marked with PB SPEZIAL.
New wiring with one medium or standard screw base socket. It works also with LED bulbs.
The condition is good. There is a small dent in the canopy.

Peter Behrens,
(14 April 1868 – 27 February 1940) was a leading German architect, graphic and industrial designer, best known for his early pioneering AEG Turbine Hall in Berlin in 1909. He had a long career, designing objects, typefaces, and important buildings in a range of styles from the 1900s to the 1930s.
