About the Item
Hollywood Regency style sunburst leaves flush mount by Ferro Art (also known as Ferroarte), Spain, 1950s. Metal structure formed by a circular base of wrought iron where different leaves or rays of sunlight are welded in the shape of a crown around its perimeter. Central translucent glass diffuser, which creates an unique lighting effect. Finished in brushed golden-bronze and silver tones. Mid Century and Brutalist style ceiling light.
Very much in the style also of the French creations of Maison Jansen and Maison Charles, and the Spanish creations of Ferrocolor.
For 2 E14 bulbs. Original electrical installation reviewed and fully operational, with original brass and ceramic lamp holders, and new wiring. LED compatible. Slight signs of wear and tear over the years (see last photos).
Note: We always try to the fullest to respect and preserve as much as possible all the original elements of each piece (wiring, lampshade, finishes...) so as not to alter the original aesthetics and so that they can continue to have another life with their intact soul. Elegant Hollywood Regency hand-hammered gilt iron sunburst flower light fixture / flush mount, France, 1940s-1950s.
This flush mount ceiling light features a wrought iron structure comprised by gold gilt iron scalloped leaves. The part surrounding the bulb is decorated by an undulated ring.
Entirely made by hand, it has gold leaf gilt finish and a dramatic aged patina.
It can be placed flush mounted or hanging from a chain as pendant. It also could work as a decorative wall light. This piece combines Hollywood Regency and Brutalist accents and it will be a nice addition to any room or entry hall.
