About the Item
Huge sectional "Argo" ceiling fixture in Murano glass designed by Giusto Toso and manufactured by Leucos in the early 1980's. Most of the glass elements are in light blu, some of them in yellowish orange. Each element hangs by interlocking with other in a really simple and intuitive way. The images refer to the chandelier in its original location in a luxury hotel in Milan and depict a regular configuration for all the glass elements which makes the lamp parallel to the floor. However, it is possible to create an asymmetrical configuration by adding or removing elements, as well as by changing the arrangement of the 10 crossed frames that compose the chandelier. Each frame is therefore a single chandelier, which can be separated.
Despite the huge displacement, the shipping is facilitated as all nearly 900 elements stay approx 30 square boxes which occupy a single pallet, the 10 frames are light and just 90cm x 90 cm (36 inch x 36 inches) each.
Measurements are: each frame is 90 x 90 cm, one single element is approx 30x30 cm (12 inches x 12 inches). The height in the shown configuration is approx 120cm ( 47 inches).
