Mid-Century Italian “Spider” Wall Lamp with smoked Murano Glass, 1970s
Striking and sculptural, this mid-century Italian wall sconce—often referred to as a “spider” lamp—features an iron frame with a beautiful patina and a captivating smoked Murano art glass shade.
Originally designed in the 1960s and 1970s as an outdoor entryway lamp commonly found above Italian doorways, it has since become a highly sought-after decorative fixture for indoor spaces as well. The combination of handblown Murano glass and aged metal gives the piece a refined yet organic elegance.
