Striking Italian 1970s flush-mount (or wall) light attributed to Angelo Brotto.
A sculptural wood lattice (likely ash) forms a shallow domed grid over a saffron/yellow center panel fitted with nine brass lampholders. The graphic square geometry and warm materials are classic of Brotto’s work for Esperia in the period—architectural, decorative, and beautifully crafted.
Designed to install on ceiling or wall, the piece reads like a luminous panel; mirrored bulbs (as shown) create a soft, glare-controlled glow and emphasize the grid.
Unsigned. Italy, circa 1970s.
Measurements: 27.5" W × 27.5" D × 4" H projection (70 × 70 × 10 cm)
Lamps: 9 × E26/E27 bases (chrome/half-silver bulbs recommended).
Electrical: Not UL listed; as with all vintage fixtures, rewiring/inspection by a licensed electrician is recommended prior to installation.
