About the Item
Handblown Italian flush mount from the 1960s, made in creamy opaline glass with a wavy shell-shaped contour and fine concentric patterning. Fitted with two E14 sockets and the original metal mounting plate. A refined mid-century glass piece with warm, even light.
This handblown Italian flush mount dates from the 1960s and is crafted in a distinctive shell-shaped form. The glass is executed in soft opaline tones with a subtle layered pattern that becomes clearly visible when illuminated. The wavy contour is shaped by hand, giving each curve natural variation and the characteristic look of mid-century Venetian glassmaking.
The piece retains its original metal mounting plate and is equipped with two E14 sockets. The glass has a smooth glossy surface with light, typical signs of age. Its proportion and gentle depth make it suitable for both ceiling and wall placement.
A well-made example from the Venetian glass tradition, produced by one of the smaller studios active alongside the better-known Murano workshops during the 1960s and 1970s.
