About the Item
A softly glowing Finnish mid-century flush mount from the 1950s, combining a pleated synthetic textile shade with a brass finial and central brass dome. The wide, shallow form creates an elegant presence on the ceiling, dispersing warm, even light that washes both the fixture and surrounding surfaces.
The pleated synthetic textile has yellowed beautifully over time, giving the lamp a warm, mellow tone that enhances its soft illumination. There is some subtle fading beneath the brass plate, consistent with age and use. Brass detailing adds a refined contrast, completing the quietly sophisticated mid-century character.
