About the Item
The often sought after 'Tronchi' chandelier made with Murano art glass. This meticulously crafted ceiling light was designed by designer Toni Zuccheri for Venini
Co, in the 1960s. The 'Tronchi' which translates from Italian to 'trunk' or 'log' are handblown Murano glass tubes, suspended individually and form a circular frame. It features a flush mount brass top that hold the Murano glass in place. This particular piece is a smaller size which is sometimes harder to find, consisting of eight glass 'Tronchi' in a transparent textured Murano art glass. This piece offers one tier in which the eight handblown tubes are hanging from a brass top base. The 'Tronchi' is a classic Murano design that is highly sought after. They were originally made in the beginning of 1960s.
In good vintage condition and consisting of of eight meticulously crafted handblown tubes.
