Stunning, extra large (40cm / 15.75") Mid-Century Modern textured ice glass flush mount light fixture by German manufacturer Hillebrand, circa 1965. This vintage ceiling light, often mistakenly attributed to Kalmar, features a large round glass dish made of 'Frit' glass - a technique involving hundreds of tiny glass shards which are molded into the glass during its manufacture, giving the piece a heavy ice appearance which refracts the light, filling a room with a soft, warm and welcoming glow.
